Description
CD14 antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 55,000 Da. The CD14 antigen is expressed on cells of the myelomonocytic lineage including monocytes, macrophages, and Langerhans cells. Low expression is observed on neutrophils and on human B cells. CD14 antigen is a receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS, endotoxin) and the lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP). LBP and CD14 antigen serve two physiological roles. These proteins act as opsonin and opsonic receptors, respectively, promoting the phagocytic uptake of bacteria and LPS-coated particles by macrophages.
Ig Subclass
IgG1
Storage
GenScript Mouse Anti-Human CD14 Monoclonal Antibody remains stable for one to two weeks if stored at 2°C to 8°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C or below for longer periods. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles. Use within one year of the date of receipt.
Specificity
Human lymph node tissue(IHC), human CD14 recombinant protein (ELISA)

1 mg/ml in 10 mM PBS (pH 7.6) and 0.02% sodium azide
Immunogen
Ni-NTA purified recombinant human CD14 expressed in E. coli strain BL21 (DE3)
Purification Method
GenScript Mouse Anti-Human CD14 Monoclonal Antibody is purified by protein G affinity chromatography and resuspended in 10 mM PBS (pH 7.6) and 0.02% sodium azide. No reconstitution is necessary.
Applications
IHC: Dilution 1:200-1:400
Determining optimal working dilutions by titration test
