|Description||CCR4 belongs to the G-protein-coupled receptor family. It is a receptor for C-C chemokine - MIP-1, RANTES, TARC, and MCP-1. Chemokines are small polypeptides that regulate the movements of various types of leukocytes. Not only do chemokines play fundamental roles in development, homeostasis, and immune system function, they also have effects on endothelial cells involved in angiogenesis or angiostasis and on the cells of the central nervous system. CCR4 is preferentially expressed on type 2 helper T (Th2-type) cells. Unlike that of other chemokine receptors, the expression of CCR4 and CCR8 on Th2 cells is transiently increased following TCR and CD28 engagement.

|Storage||The antibody is stable in lyophilized form if stored at -20°C or below. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.|
|Note||Small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. Before use, briefly centrifuge the vial to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap.|
|Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
