Description Lysine specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) is a component of histone deacetylase complex which contains HDAC1, HDAC2, AOF2, RCOR1, ZNF261, ZNF198, KIAA0182, and GTF2I. It specifically demethylates histone H3 lys4, which is linked to active transcription. LSD1 interacts with androgen receptor (AR) and stimulates AR-dependent transcription. It also catalyzes the 2-electron oxidation of its substrate and converts oxygen to hydrogen peroxide.
GenScript LSD1 Antibody is developed in rabbit using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide within residues 50-100 of human LSD1 (Swiss Prot: O60341).

Specificity GenScript LSD1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of human and mouse LSD1. It is predicted to react with rat LSD1 protein according to sequence homology.

Storage The antibody is stable in lyophilized form if stored at -20°C or below. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.

Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
Western blot: 0.5-1 µg/ml
Immunoprecipitation (IP): 2-10 µg/mg of lysate
