RNA Polymerase II CTD Repeat Antibody (Phospho-Ser5), pAb, Rabbit
*This product has been discontinued!*
RNA polymerase II is an integral part of the transcription initiation complex. It possesses a unique C-terminal domain (CTD) consisting of repeats of the consensus heptapeptide sequence YSPTSPS. The CTD domain interacts with a large multisubunit complex that contains TATA-binding protein (TBP). Phosphorylation of RNA polymerase IIs largest C-terminal domain (CTD) is a key event during mRNA metabolism. GenScript RNA polymerase II CTD repeat Antibody (Phospho-Ser5), pAb, Rabbit is developed in rabbit using a KLH-coupled synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to the residues surrounding serine 5 of human RNA polymerase II CTD repeat (Swiss Prot: P24928).
