Description |
CD16 is a cluster of differentiation found on the surface of natural killer cells, neutrophil polymorphonuclear leukocytes, monocytes and macrophages[1]. It can be used to isolate populations of these cells by antibodies directed towards CD16, utilising FACS (fluorescent-activated cell sorting) or MACS (magnetic-activated cell sorting). CD16 has been identified as Fc receptors FcγRIIIa and FcγRIIIb. These receptors bind to the Fc portion of IgG antibodies. |
Ig Subclass |
IgG1 |
Storage |
GenScript CD16 Antibody, mAb, Mouse should be stored lyophilized until use. It remains stable in lyophilized form for at least two years if stored at -20°C or below. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 4-8°C or for up to 12 months at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles. |
Specificity |
GenScript CD16 Antibody, mAb, Mouse recognizes human CD16 antigen/Fc Gamma receptor III, a 50-70 kD glycoprotein expressed on NK cells, macrophages, and granulocytes. |
Concentration |
1 mg/ml, lyophilized in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline and 0.01 M Tris-Gly buffer, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide |
Purification Method |
Protein G affinity purified immunoglobulin |
Applications |
FACS: 1-2 μg/ml
ELISA/Immunoblotting: 1-2 μg/ml
Immunocytochemistry (frozen tissue): 10 μg/ml |
Conjugation |
Unconjugated |
Species Reactivity |
Human. Reactivity to other species is not tested yet. |
Host Species |
Mouse |
Note |
Briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. |
