Epitope Tag Antibodies
An epitope is an antigenic determinant, a biological structure or sequence to which an antibody binds. Recombinant DNA technology allows scientific researchers to construct fusion proteins which express the gene of interest and have an epitope tag. The use of epitope tags eliminates the additional step of using a different antibody for each newly purified protein. The most commonly used epitope tags include His (6-Histidine), HA (Hemagglutinin), cMyc, GST, and Flag (DYKDDDDK) tag. GenScript offers highly specific antibodies to all of these epitope tags. Our tagged antibodies are manufactured under extensive quality control to ensure optimal sensitivity and consistent high performance.
