Description

PCR DNA Ladder

Concentration

400 ng/5 μl in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH7.5), 1 mM EDTA.

Recommended Loading Volume:
5 μl (or 1 μl/mm width of gel well) with 1 ul of 6X DNA loading buffer

Quality Control

• Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 100 bp and 2 kb are accurate in size and readily distinguishable. The 500 bp band is always at least three times more intense than the brightest of the other bands.
• Incubation of 5 μl of the PCR DNA Ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37°C shows an absence of visible degradation.

Background

Description: PCR DNA Ladder is composed of 7 bands of double stranded DNA fragments which are 100bp, 300bp, 500bp, 700bp, 1000bp, 1500bp, and 2000bp. The 500bp band with higher intensity makes it easily distinguished from other bands. PCR DNA Ladder is ideal for routine agarose gel electrophoresis of PCR products or any DNA fragments sized between 100bp and 2000bp. The double stranded ladder can be visualized on 1% to 2% agarose gels after ethidium bromide staining.

Concentration: 63 Âµg/ml in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH=7.5), 1 mM EDTA. For ready-to-use^TM format, 1X loading buffer has been added to the marker, and the marker is ready for loading to the gel.
