The following FOXA3 gene sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the FOXA3 gene which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want? ||REVIEWED REFSEQ: This record has been curated by NCBI staff. The
reference sequence was derived from BC016024.1.
On Nov 3, 2002 this sequence version replaced gi:4758535.
Summary: This gene encodes a member of the forkhead class of
DNA-binding proteins. These hepatocyte nuclear factors are
transcriptional activators for liver-specific transcripts such as
albumin and transthyretin, and they also interact with chromatin.
Similar family members in mice have roles in the regulation of
metabolism and in the differentiation of the pancreas and liver.
The crystal structure of a similar protein in rat has been
resolved. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].
