The following MAGT1 gene sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the MAGT1 gene which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want? ||REVIEWED REFSEQ: This record has been curated by NCBI staff. The
reference sequence was derived from DC329979.1, BC060842.1 and
This sequence is a reference standard in the RefSeqGene project.
On Dec 5, 2008 this sequence version replaced gi:141801933.
Summary: This gene encodes a magnesium cation transporter protein
that localizes to the cell membrane. This protein also associates
with N-oligosaccharyl transferase and therefore may have a role in
N-glycosylation. Mutations in this gene cause mental retardation
X-linked type 95 (MRX95). This gene may have multiple in-frame
translation initiation sites, one of which would encode a shorter
protein with an N-terminus containing a signal peptide at amino
acids 1-29. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010].
