$98.00
Product Name Biotin-Protein G
Description
Protein G, a cell surface protein from Group G streptococci, binds strongly and specifically to the Fc region of immunoglobulin molecules, particularly IgG. It contains three high-affinity binding sites that are capable of interacting with the Fc region of IgG in humans, rabbits, mice, cows, goats, sheep, and other species. Biotin-Protein G, which is produced by covalently linking biotin to protein G, can be used in immunodetections, such as immunoblotting (western or dot blot), ELISA, and immunohistochemistry.

Reference
Concentration
1 mg/ml in PBS (pH 7.4) containing 10 mg/ml BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.
Storage
Store at 4°C for short periods of time, one month or shorter. Aliquot and store at -20°C for longer periods. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Prolonged storage may result in slight precipitation, so clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.
Application
Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by titration assay. The chart below may serve as a useful guideline, but primary antibody, temperature, incubation time, the amount of antigen, and the sensitivity of the detection methods can all affect the ideal working concentration.
Dot blot: 1:2,000-1:50,000
Western blot: 1:2,000-1:50,000
ELISA: 1:50,000-1:200,000
