Description

ToxinEraser^TM Advanced Endotoxin Removal Kit is based on an endotoxin binding protein (EBP) developed from the horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus). Removal of endotoxin is so important because it is the principal pathophysiological mediator by which bacteria can cause hypotension, organ failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and fatal shock in mammalian hosts. In tissue culture and animal experiments, these responses can produce misleading results, making data uninterpretable, incurring unnecessary loss of time and money, and inevitable dragging the entire project.

GenScript ToxinEraser^TM Advanced Endotoxin Removal Kit is an efficient endototoxin removal tool. The final endotoxin level can be reduced below 1 EU/mg with repeated use of ToxinEraser^TM Advanced Endotoxin Removal resin, of which the characteristics of the resin are listed in Table 1. The kit can be used for removal of endotoxin from proteins, peptides, antibodies, and even DNA samples.

Storage

For storage of the column, wash the column with 10 ml of equilibration buffer and allow to drain completely. Add 1.5 ml of regeneration buffer supplemented with 0.02% sodium azide. Store at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze the column.
