Description |
NPBW1 (GPR7) is a Gi/o-coupled GPCR which is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system of mouse, rat and human. However, reports have suggested a peripheral distribution, in particular the renal tubular epithelial cells and the adrenal gland. The distribution in the CNS appears to show good correlation with the function of modulating feeding. NPBW1 can stimulate melanophore aggregation and enhance cortisol secretion. |
