Product Name EasyWestern Protein Standard
Description
The EasyWestern Protein Standard is a lyophilized mixture of five highly purified recombinant proteins ranging in size from 22 KD to 120 KD. Each of them contains an IgG binding sequence. During a western blot, it binds to the primary or secondary antibody, enabling the direct visualization of the standard and of the customer’s sample on the same western blot membrane. No additional reagents are required.

Reference
Calculation
The apparent molecular weights of the EasyWestern Protein Standard's five protein bands are 22 KD, 40 KD, 60 KD, 85 KD, and 120 KD.
Storage
The product may be stored at 4°C for one month. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute the powder with 500 µl of reconstitution buffer. We recommend 5 µl per lane of mini-gel.
Application
The EasyWestern Protein Standard allows the user to conveniently isolate protein bands in western blots. Because of its IgG binding ability, there is no need for any additional reagents such as specific antibodies or conjugates of streptavidin. It can be used in place of His-tagged markers, and biotin-labeled markers, etc. The EasyWestern Protein Standard can bind total IgG from human, mouse, rat, sheep, goat, and rabbit. However, because it binds to the constant region of IgG, it is incompatible with protein A and protein G conjugates.

Recommends:
1. 5% skim milk was recommended as blocking reagent. BSA was not recommended.
2. For best result, the loading volume of the protein standard needs optimized according to individual condition.
