Disulfide bridge: Cys6-Cys22
Description
C-Type Natriuretic Peptide(CNP) was originally isolated as a 22-amino-acid peptide from the brain. CNP is synthesized and released from cultured endothelial cells. CNP has been found to act as a coronary vasodilator through activation of cGMP by activating a particulate gyanylate cyclase.
Solubility
Soluble in water. The contents of this vial have been accurately determined. Both the stopper and the vial have been siliconized. Do not attempt to weight out a smaller portion of the contents.
Purity
> 95%
Storage
Before using, store the peptide in the DRY form at 0 - 5°C. For best and repeatable results, rehydrate the peptide immediately before using. Do not re-freeze any unused portions.
Notes
C-Type Natriuretic Peptide (chicken) shows chick rectum relaxant activity. CNP induces diuretic-natriuretic and hypotensive responses in a manner similar to that of ANP and BNP.
