| Description |
Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) is a 28 amino acid peptide that is synthesized, stored, and released by atrial myocytes in response to atrial distension, angiotensin II stimulation, endothelin, and sympathetic stimulation. The presence of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and the nature of Atrial Natriuretic Peptide's binding sites were studied in fresh-water (FW)- and seawater (SW)-adapted eels using a heterologous analogue, that of the rat (rANP). |
| Solubility |
Soluble in water. The contents of this vial have been accurately determined. Both the stopper and the vial have been siliconized. Do not attempt to weight out a smaller portion of the contents. The presence of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and the nature of Atrial Natriuretic Peptide's binding sites were studied in fresh-water (FW)- and seawater (SW)-adapted eels using a heterologous analogue, that of the rat (rANP). |

> 95% |
| Storage |
Before using, store the peptide in the DRY form at 0 - 5°C. For best and repeatable results, rehydrate the peptide immediately before using. Do not re-freeze any unused portions. |
