Easy Self-Induction Medium
Description:GenScript's Easy Self-Induction Medium facilitates high-yield expression of recombinant proteins in T7-regulated E. coli expression systems without IPTG induction. Using this medium, the researcher has no need to monitor cell optical density (OD) or to optimize IPTG induction conditions. Furthermore, the protein yield is typically three times as high or higher than that obtained by traditional LB-IPTG methods. The Easy Self-Induction Medium is a complete product requiring no other supplements beside antibiotics; it is supplied as a pre-sterilized, ready-to-use liquid.Key Features:GenScript's Easy Self-Induction Medium is specially designed for protein expression in IPTG-induced bacterial expression systems. Note:1. Bacterial strains and expression vectors: E. coli expression strains should contain functional lacY and lacZ operons such as BL21 (DE3). The Easy Self-Induction Medium is compatible with any and all IPTG-inducible bacterial expression vectors that have lac-based promoters.2. Induction time: Cells can be grown at temperatures between 16°C and 37°C. For cells grown at 16°C, expect an induction time of 24 to 36 hours. For cells grown at 30°C to 37°C, expect an induction time of 16 to 20 hours. 3. Cell mass and protein yield: Cell mass and protein yield generated using this medium are typically more than three times as high as that from traditional LB media. Some optimization may be necessary to ensure complete and efficient bacterial lysis. Storage:Store at room temperature until opened.
