Description:

The DNA KB ladder is suitable for sizing double-stranded DNA from 0.5 kb to 10 kb. The DNA KB ladder is consisted of the following 9 fragments: 0.5 kb, 1 kb, 2 kb, 3 kb, 4 kb, 5 kb, 6 kb, 8 kb, and 10 kb. The double stranded ladder can be visualized on 1% to 2% agarose gels after ethidium bromide staining.

Concentration:

Supplied as 500 ng/5 ul in 500 ul of buffer containing 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH=7.5) and 1 mM EDTA. For use, add 100 ul of 6X DNA loading buffer.

Recommended Loading Volume:

5 μl (or 1 μl/mm width of gel well) with 1 ul of 6X DNA loading buffer

Note:

6X DNA loading buffer can also be ordered separately.

Storage:

-20°C.

Quality Control:

Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 500 bp and 10 kb are accurate in size and distinguishable. The 3 kb band is easily identified than any other bands.

Incubation of 5 μl of the DNA KB Ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37°C shows absence of visible degradation.
