Description:

The DNA KB ladder is suitable for sizing double-stranded DNA from 0.5 kb to 10 kb. The DNA KB ladder is consisted of the following 9 fragments: 0.5 kb, 1 kb, 2 kb, 3 kb, 4 kb, 5 kb, 6 kb, 8 kb, and 10 kb. The double stranded ladder can be visualized on 1% to 2% agarose gels after ethidium bromide staining.

Concentration:

500 ng/5 ul in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH=7.5), 1 mM EDTA. For ready-to-use^TM format, 1X loading buffer has been added to the marker, and the marker is ready for loading to the gel.

Note:

• 6X DNA loading buffer can also be ordered separately.
• Ready-to-use^TM format is premixed with DNA loading buffer containing 5% Glycerol, 0.02% bromophenol blue, 0.02%xylene cyanol.

Volume:

5 ul (or 1 ul/mm width of gel well).

Storage:

-20 °C.

Quality Control:

• Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 500 bp and 10 kb are accurate in size and distinguishable. The 3 kb band is easily identified than any other bands.
• Incubation of 5 μl of the DNA KB Ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37°C shows absence of visible degradation.
