Description:

DNA Logical Ladder is suitable for sizing and quantifying double-stranded DNA from 100 bp to 10 kb. The DNA Logic-Ladder consists of 15 DNA fragments: 100 bp, 200 bp, 300 bp, 400 bp, 600 bp, 800 bp, 1 kb, 1.5 kb, 2 kb, 3 kb, 4 kb, 5 kb, 6 kb, 8 kb, and 10 kb. The DNA Logical Ladder was formulated to yield such a pattern that each band contains a Logical number of DNA fragments, correlating to its size. Therefore, the DNA Logical Ladder not only allows easy recognition of the bands on the gel, but also gives a quantitative measurement of the DNA fragments. Thus both the size of a particular DNA fragment and the number of fragments in the band can be read at a glance.

Concentration:

450 ng/5 μl in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH7.5), 1 mM EDTA. For Ready-to-Use^TM format, 1X loading buffer has been added to the marker, and the marker is ready for loading to the gel.

Note:

• 6X DNA loading buffer can be ordered separately.
• Our Ready-to-Use^TM format is premixed with DNA loading buffer containing 5% glycerol, 0.02% bromophenol blue, 0.02% xylene cyanol.

Volume:

5 μl (or 1 μl/mm width of gel well)

Storage:

Store the ladder at -20 °C.

Quality Control:

• Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 100 bp and 10 kb are accurate in size and readily distinguishable. The 1.5 kb band is more easily identified than any other bands.
• Incubation of 5 μl of the DNA Logical Ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37°C shows an absence of visible degradation.
