Full Name
Mouse Anti-Thioredoxin (TRX) Monoclonal Antibody
AliasMouse Anti-Thioredoxin
DescriptionThioredoxins (Trx) are small, multi-functional proteins with oxidoreductase activity and they are ubiquitous in essentially all living cells. Thioredoxin is a 12,000 Da redox protein that has powerful protein disulphide oxidoreductase activity. It has been shown to be involved in various cellular processes, including activation of the transcription factor NR-KB.
Ig SubclassMouse IgG1
StorageThe antibody may be store at 4°C for short periods. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
SpecificityThis antibody is specific for the thioredoxin fusion protein from human. Does not cross-react with thioredoxin from E. coli. This antibody has not yet been tested in other species.
Concentration1 mg/ml in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide
CloneA00164.01
ImmunogenRecombinant Human Thioredoxin produced in E. coli (Cat. Z00267)
Purification MethodProtein G affinity column
ApplicationsWorking concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. Appropriate concentrations will be affected by several factors, including secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of detection method, temperature, and length of incubations, etc. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
ELISA: 0.01-0.1 µg/ml
Western blot: 1.0 µg/ml
Fusion PartnerSpleen cells are fused with SP2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells.
ConjugationUnconjugated
Species ReactivityHuman
Host SpeciesMouse
Antigen SpeciesHuman
NoteBriefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage.
