| Description | S1 tag is an epitope tag composed of a nine-residue peptide, NANNPDWDF, derived from the hepatitis B virus preS1 region. Epitope tags consisting of short sequences recognized by well-characterizated antibodies have been widely used in the study of protein expression in various systems.
The Rabbit Anti-S1-tag polyclonal antibody is highly purified from rabbit antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography and is supplied as a 40 μg aliquot at a concentration of 1 mg/ml.

| Applications | Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. Appropriate concentrations will be affected by several factors, including secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of detection method, temperature, and length of incubations, etc. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
ELISA: 0.05-0.2 µg/ml
Western blot: 0.1-1.0 µg/ml
Western blot using One-Step WesternTM Kit:
For quick results, GenScript One-Step WesternTM Kit L00204C is recommended. 20 µg of this antibody is mixed with 10 ml of WB solution for 8 cm X 8 cm membrane.
