| Full Name | | Rabbit Anti-RFP-tag Polyclonal Antibody |
|
| Alias | Rabbit Anti RFP-tag pAb |
|---|
| Abbreviated Name-2 | Anti RFP-tag pAb |
|---|
| Description | Well-characterizated antibodies against short-sequence epitope tags are common in the study of protein expression in systems. RFP-tags are composed of 15-residue peptides, VNGHEFEIEGEGEGR, derived from amino acids 22-36 of red fluorescent protein (RFP) from the Discosoma sea anemone. The GenScript Rabbit Anti RFP-Tag Polyclonal Antibody is highly purified from rabbit antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography and is supplied as a 100 μl aliquot at a concentration of 1 mg/ml in PBS, pH7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide. |
|---|
| Ig Subclass | Rabbit IgG |
|---|
| Storage | GenScript Rabbit Anti-RFP-tag Polyclonal Antibody is stable for 2-3 weeks at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles. |
|---|
| Specificity | GenScript Rabbit Anti-RFP-tag Polyclonal Antibody is specific to fusion proteins containing RFP-tags. The antibody does not react with GFP or GFP-tagged proteins. |
|---|
| Concentration | 1 mg/ml in PBS, pH7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide |
|---|
| Immunogen | RFP epitope tag peptide VNGHEFEIEGEGEGR conjugated to KLH |
|---|
| Purification Method | Immunoaffinity chromatography |

| Applications | Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. Appropriate concentrations will be affected by several
factors, including secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration,
sensitivity of detection method, temperature, and length of incubations,
etc. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those
listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges
are recommended starting points for this product. ELISA: 0.05-0.2 µg/ml
Western blot: 0.1-1.0 µg/ml
Western blot using One-Step WesternTM Kit: For quick results, GenScript One-Step WesternTM Kit L00204C is recommended. 10 µg of this antibody is mixed with 10 ml of WB solution for 8 cm x 8 cm membrane.

| Note | Briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. |
