| Full Name | | THETM Anti-β-actin Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) |
|
| Alias | Anti beta-actin mAb |
|---|
| Description | Beta actin is one of six different actin isoforms that have been identified. The actin molecules found in cells of various species and tissues tend to be very similar in their immunological and physical properties. As a consequence, it has been difficult to produce potent antisera against this protein. Therefore, the availability of monoclonal antibodies to ß-actin provides a useful and specific tool in the study of the intracellular distribution of ß-actin and the static and dynamic aspects of the cytoskeleton. |
|---|
| Key Features | GenScript THETM Anti-β-actin Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) has high sensitivity, low background in WB compared with antibody on the market. |
|---|
| Ig Subclass | Mouse IgG2a |
|---|
| Storage | THETM Anti-β-actin Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) should be stored lyophilized until use. It remains stable in lyophilized form for at least two years if stored at 2-8°C. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for up to three months at 2-8°C or for up to two years at or below -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles. |
|---|
| Specificity | THETM Anti-β-actin Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) reacts with mouse, rabbit, chicken, human, hamster, cow, goat, fish, and pig. Mouse anti-β-actin has not yet been tested in other species.
|
|---|
| Concentration | 40 μg, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide and 100 μg, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide |
|---|
| Immunogen | Peptide (DDDIAALVVDNGSG), conjugated to KLH |
|---|
| Purification Method | Protein G affinity column |
|---|
| Reconstitution | Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody (40 μg or 100 μg) with 100
μl of deionized water to the final concentration of 0.4 mg/ml or 1 mg/ml. |
|---|
| Applications | Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. Appropriate concentrations will be affected by several factors, including secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of detection method, temperature, and length of incubations, etc. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product. ELISA: 0.1-1.0 µg/ml Western blot: 1.0 µg/ml Other applications: user-optimized |
|---|
| Fusion Partner | Spleen cells are fused with SP2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells. |
|---|
| Conjugation | Unconjugated |
|---|
| Host Species | Mouse |
|---|
| Note | Briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. |
