| Full Name | | THETM Anti-c-Myc-tag Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) |
|
| Alias | Mouse Anti-c-Myc-tag mAb |
|---|
| Description | The c-Myc protein is a transcription factor, encoded by the c-Myc gene on human chromosome 8q24. c-Myc is commonly activated in a variety of tumor cells and plays an important role in cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and cell cycle progression. A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 410-419 of the human p62 c-myc protein conjugated to KLH is used as immunogen. c-Myc-tag provides a method of localizing gene products in a variety of cell types, to study the topology of proteins and protein complexes and of identifying associated proteins. This antibody can be used to detect c-Myc gene in human cancers and commonly used c-Myc tag in fusion proteins. |
|---|
| Key Features | GenScript THETM Anti-c-Myc-tag Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) has high sensitivity, better than the antibody on the market. GenScript THETM Anti-c-Myc-tag Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) can recognize N-terminal, C-terminal and internal c-Myc-tag in fusion proteins. |
|---|
| Ig Subclass | Mouse IgG2a |
|---|
| Storage | THETM Anti-c-Myc-tag Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) should be stored lyophilized until use. It remains stable in lyophilized form for at least two years if stored between 2°C and 8°C. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for up to three months between 2°C and 8°C or for up to two years at or below -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles. |
|---|
| Specificity | GenScript THETM Anti-c-Myc-tag Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) recognizes C-terminal, N-terminal, and internal c-Myc tagged fusion proteins expressed in prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells. It also recognizes c-Myc genes in human cancers, such as Hela whole cell lysates. |
|---|
| Concentration | 40 μg, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide and 100 μg, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide. |
|---|
| Clone | A00704.01 |
|---|
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 410-419 (EQKLISEEDL) coupled to KLH |
|---|
| Purification Method | Protein A affinity column |
|---|
| Reconstitution | Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody (40 ug or 100 μg) with 100
μl of deionized water to the final concentration of 0.4 mg/ml or 1 mg/ml. |
|---|
| Applications | Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. Appropriate concentrations will be affected by several factors, including secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of detection method, temperature, and length of incubations, etc. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product. ELISA: 0.05 µg/ml-0.2 µg/ml Western blot: 0.1 µg/ml-1 µg/ml Western blot using One-Step WesternTM Kit: For quick results, GenScript One-Step WesternTM Kit L00205C is recommended. 0.9 µg of this antibody is mixed with diluted WB solution (dilute 1.5 ml WB with 1.5 ml of PBST). Immunoprecipitation (IP): 1 µg/ml Immunofluorescent staining: 1 µg/ml Other applications: user-optimized |
|---|
| Fusion Partner | Spleen cells were fused with SP2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells |
|---|
| Conjugation | Unconjugated |
|---|
| Host Species | Mouse |
|---|
| Note | Briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. |
