DescriptionPeptides encoded by the Urocortin (Ucn) II gene is highly expressed in mouse skin and skeletal muscle, and the peptides which known as stresscopin-related peptide were identified as new members of the corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) family. Urocortin II, mouse is also a corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH)-related peptide. It is found that the selective CRF receptor agonists mouse urocortin II (20-60 microg/kg) can inhibit significantly gastric emptying without modifying colonic transit.
