DescriptionNeuropeptide FF (and neuropeptide AF, which is also derived from the same precursor) belongs to a family of neuropeptides containing an RF-amide motif at their C-terminus. Neuropeptide FF (NPFF) is found at high concentrations in the posterior pituitary, spinal cord, hypothalamus and medulla and is believed to be involved in pain modulation, opioid tolerance, cardiovascular regulation, memory and neuroendocrine regulation.
SolubilitySoluble in water. The contents of this vial have been accurately determined. Both the stopper and the vial have been siliconized. Do not attempt to weight out a smaller portion of the contents.
FormulaC54H76N14O10
M.W.1081.3
Purity> 95%
StorageBefore using, store the peptide in the DRY form at 0-5°C. For best and repeatable results, rehydrate the peptide immediately before using. Do not re-freeze any unused portions.
NotesMay act as a paracrine/endocrine mediator in the neurohypophysis. Inhibits the effects of both endogenous and exogenous opiates.
