DescriptionC-Type Natriuretic Peptide(CNP) was originally isolated as a 22-amino-acid peptide from the brain. CNP is synthesized and released from cultured endothelial cells. CNP has been found to act as a coronary vasodilator through activation of cGMP by activating a particulate gyanylate cyclase.
SolubilitySoluble in water. The contents of this vial have been accurately determined. Both the stopper and the vial have been siliconized. Do not attempt to weight out a smaller portion of the contents.
FormulaC93H157N29O29S3
M.W.2241.7
Purity> 95%
StorageBefore using, store the peptide in the DRY form at 0 - 5°C. For best and repeatable results, rehydrate the peptide immediately before using. Do not re-freeze any unused portions.
NotesC-Type Natriuretic Peptide (chicken) shows chick rectum relaxant activity. CNP induces diuretic-natriuretic and hypotensive responses in a manner similar to that of ANP and BNP.
