DescriptionThe apelin peptide was recently discovered and demonstrated to be the endogenous ligand for the G protein-coupled receptor APJ, a purative receptor protein related to the angiotensin receptor (AT1). Apelin-13 exerts an acidification-rate-promoting activity in the CHO cells expressing the APJ receptor with a median effective concentration (EC50) value of the 0.37 nM. Apelin-13 blocks HIV-1 and HIV-2 entry into cells expressing the APJ receptor.
SolubilityThe peptide is soluble in water. The contents of this vial have been accurately determined. Both the stopper and the vial have been siliconized. Do not attempt to weigh out a smaller portion of the contents.
FormulaC69H111N22O16S

Purity> 95%
StorageBefore use, store the peptide in the DRY form at 0-5°C. For best and most repeatable results, rehydrate the peptide immediately before use. Do not re-freeze any unused portions.
