Description

9E3/CEF4 is released from transformed chicken embryo fibroblasts (CEF), 9E3/CEF4 is a member of the platelet factor 4 family of inflammatory proteins. The 9E3/CEF4 gene was one of the first inducible chemokine genes to be discovered. The 9E3/CEF4 gene codes for a chemokine that is highly homologous to human interleukin-8 and melanoma growth-stimulating activity/groalpha.
