oligodendroglia Neuroglial Cells of ectodermal origin (from bipotential O-2A progenitor Cells) introduced by Del Rio Hortega and forming part of the non-neuronal interstitium the central nervous system. Interfascicular oligos are common to white matter whereas perineuronal forms are found in gray matter.
