T-cell Thymus lymphocyte, which recognizes foreign proteins on the surface of other cells. The groups of T-cells include cytotoxic T-cells (CTLs; killer T-cells), which can kill the foreign cell; helper T-cells, which bind to and assist the proliferation of B-cells; and suppressor T-cells, which attenuate the action of B-cells.
