Protein extraction reagent
is an excellent tool for the initial purification and preparation of
proteins from any tissues and cells. GenScript provides two protein extraction reagents,
Easy BacLysis Protein Extraction Solution and TrioMol Isolation
Reagent, both can isolate proteins from cell lysates. TrioMol Isolation
Reagent can also isolate total RNA, DNA, and protein from sample
mixtures in one single-step liquid-phase separation. |

Example:
1. Protein extraction using competitor A protein extraction reagent and GenScript’s Easy BacLysis Protein Extraction Solution.
1.5 ml cultures of E. coli strain BL21 (DE3) containing pET-28a
encoding target protein were harvested by centrifugation and
resuspended in 300 μl competitor A protein extraction reagent, or Easy
BacLysis Protein Extraction Solution. Samples in lysis reagent were
treated according to their respective protocols. Extracts were
clarified by centrifugation, then supernatants were removed and
insoluble fractions were resuspended in 300 μl distilled water. The
supernatant and insoluble fractions were analyzed by SDS-PAGE and
Coomassie blue staining.
