Protein molecular weight markers are used to estimate sample molecular weights, to monitor the progress of an electrophoretic run, and as a positive control for the electrophoresis and Western conditions. 	The Smart His-Tagged Protein Standard is a mixture of six highly purified recombinant proteins ranging in size from 15 to 115 kD, each containing a terminal 6xHis tag. Fig5.
