|Synonyms||Mouse Anti-Enterokinase mAb;|
|Description||Enterokinase is an intestinal enzyme responsible for initiating activation of pancreatic proteolytic proenzymes. Mouse Anti-Enterokinase Monoclonal Antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified recombinant EK protein (bovine EK, aa848-1035, light chain, 93% homologous with human EK).
Mouse Anti-Enterokinase Monoclonal Antibody recognizes EK in Western blots and ELISAs.
|Immunogen||Purified recombinant light chain of bovine EK protein|
|Fusion Partner||Spleen cells are fused with SP2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells.|
|Purification||Protein A affinity column|
|Concentration||0.5 mg/ml, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide|
|Reconstitution||Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to an final concentration of 0.5 mg/ml.|
|Species Reactivity||Bovine and porcine. Reactivity to other species is not tested yet.|
|Storage||The antibody is stable in lyophilized form if stored at -20°C or below. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.|
|Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. The chart below may serve as a useful guideline, but secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, temperature, incubation time, and the sensitivity of the detection methods can all affect the ideal working concentration. We have not yet determined the suitability of this antibody for other applications. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
ELISA: 0.05-0.2 µg/ml
Western blot: 0.1-1.0 µg/ml
Other applications: user-optimized
