|Description||Glucose regulated protein 94 (GRP94) is a resident protein of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) with highly conserved sequence Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu (KDEL) at its C terminus. The KDEL sequence appears to be necessary for retention and appears to be sufficient to reduce the secretion of proteins from the ER. GRP94 can serve as molecular chaperone that functions in the processing and transport of secreted proteins. It might be associated transiently with a variety of newly synthesized secretory and membrane proteins or permanently with mutant or defective proteins.|

The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.
