Gene Symbol | GUCY2F |
Entrez Gene ID | 2986 |
Full Name | guanylate cyclase 2F, retinal |
Synonyms | CYGF,GC-F,GUC2DL,GUC2F,RETGC-2,ROS-GC2 |
General protein information |
|
Gene Type | protein-coding |
Organism | Homo sapiens(human) |
Genome | |
Summary | The protein encoded by this gene is a guanylyl cyclase found predominantly in photoreceptors in the retina. The encoded protein is thought to be involved in resynthesis of cGMP after light activation of the visual signal transduction cascade, allowing a return to the dark state. This protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein. Defects in this gene may be a cause of X-linked retinitis pigmentosa. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2008]. |

The following GUCY2F gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the GUCY2F cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
