Amylin receptors have always been closely associated with calcitonin (CT) receptor. This can be explained because amylin receptors are multimeric complexes, formed by CT receptor interaction with RAMPs. The CT receptor interacts with the three RAMPs, generating multiple subtypes of amylin receptor (AMY1-3). The AMY1 receptor is a heterodimeric complex of the CT receptor and RAMP1. GenScript's AMY1-expressing stable cell line was made in CHO-K1/Gα15 host cell and optimized for calcium assays.
