| Target Background | Endo G is a nuclear encoded endonuclease that is localized in the mitochondrion. The encoded protein cleaves DNA at GC tracts. It is capable of generating the RNA primers required by DNA polymerase gamma to initiate replication of mitochondrial DNA. |
