PISCATAWAY, N.J., Nov. 26, 2007 – International research outsourcing company GenScript has recently added a revamped One-Step Multiplex Western Kit to its collection of One-Step Western products and services.
Western analysis is one means of comparing protein expression levels. This comparison is usually performed by running two western blots in parallel, by cutting a membrane blot into two halves, or by stripping the membrane for secondary use. Such measures, however, can invite loading errors and deviations among the gels and blots, undermining the reliability of the results.
GenScript’s One-Step Western Multiplex Kits offer simultaneous detection of housekeeping and target gene expression levels for direct comparison on the same membrane blot, reducing the opportunity for human error and saving both time and reagents.
GenScript representatives say that their One-Step Western Multiplex Kits are even more sensitive than standard One-Step Western Kits and are built with internal controls for quantitative analysis.
The kits are available with GADPH, beta-actin, and alpha tubulin. Kits are currently available for use with goat, mouse, and rabbit antibody and retail for $345 each.
GenScript Corporation provides high-quality gene synthesis, custom peptides, custom proteins, custom antibodies, kits, and reagents to life science researchers in industrial and academic settings throughout the world. GenScript Corporation is headquartered in Piscataway, New Jersey.
