SP3 is an ubiquitously expressed transcription factor that binds GC and GT box sequences in the promoters of a variety of genes. Containing three zinc finger domains that determine sequence specificity of DNA binding, this transcription factor is thought to regulate nucleoside, nucleotide, and nucleic acid metabolism as well as many other “housekeeping” genes. Sp3 can be modified via sumoylation by Ubc9 and interacts with other transcription factors and histone deacetylases. SP3 acts as a transcriptional enhancer and repressor of SP1 activity in a cell- and context-dependent manner.GenScript SP3 Antibody, pAb, Rabbit is developed in rabbit using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide from N-terminal of human SP3 (Swiss Prot: Q02447).
