    • Agglutination: Antibodies can cause pathogens to clump together, making them easier for phagocytes to capture.

    • B Cells: Immunoglobulins are produced by B cells, a type of white blood cell.
    • Plasma Cells: B cells differentiate into plasma cells, which are specialized for antibody production.
    • Memory B Cells: Some B cells become memory B cells, providing immunological memory for faster responses upon re-exposure to the same antigen.

  5. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Applications:
    • Diagnostic Tests: Immunoglobulins are used in various diagnostic tests, including serological assays like ELISA and Western blotting.
    • Therapeutic Antibodies: Monoclonal antibodies, laboratory-produced antibodies, are used for therapeutic purposes in areas such as cancer treatment and autoimmune diseases.
