Description:LApro Taq DNA Polymerase is a polymerases possessing 5'->3' DNA polymerase activity that is optimized to amplify longer complicated fragments and 3'->5' proof-reading activity. As one of the most thermostable DNA polymerase known with 3’->5’ proofreading activity, the enzyme catalyzes DNA synthesis at optimal temperature near 75°C with very low error rate (about ten times more accurate than standard Taq DNA polymerase). The enzyme is optimized to achieve amplification of 17.5 kb products from human genomic DNA and 20 kb from λDNA. Using LApro Taq DNA Polymerase in long PCR amplifications can reduce smearing and virtually eliminate unwanted background artifacts. LApro Taq DNA Polymerase generates A-ended PCR fragments that are required for T/A cloning.

1.5ml×2 2x buffer, 500 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.9 at 25°C), 0.5 % Tween 20, 0.5% Nonidet P40, 1 mg/ml BSA ,with 3 mM MgCl₂

Activity:
LApro Taq DNA Polymerase shows very good fidelity and an average error rate around 2x10^-6. LApro Taq DNA Polymerase has 5'->3' exonuclease activity and 3'->5' proofreading activity. It also has the extendase activity necessary for TA cloning.

one unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that can incorporate 10 nmol of dNTP into acid-insoluble material in 30 minutes at 74°C.

Storage & Stability

Storage Buffer and Concentration:
Supplied in 5 units/µl in 50 mM Tris HCl (pH 8.1), 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 0.1% (v/v) Nonidet P40, 0.1% (v/v) Tween 20 and 50% (v/v) glycerol.

Storage:
Store at -20°C. The enzyme will remain stable for at least one year if stored properly.
