GenScript AmMagᵀᴹ Protein A Magnetic Beads are super paramagnetic beads with average diameter of 50 μm, covalently coated with alkali tolerant protein A. Protein A is a bacterial cell wall protein isolated from Staphylococcus aureus, which binds to mammalian IgG’s mainly through the Fc regions. The alkali tolerant protein A not only retains the specific binding capacity to Fc region of immunoglobulin molecules, but additionally tolerates alkaline conditions and can withstand rigorous cleaning procedures with 0.1 M NaOH.
