Protein G, a cell surface protein of Group G streptococci, is a Type III Fc receptor that binds to the Fc region of IgG by a non-immune mechanism similar to that of protein A. It contains 3 IgG binding domains and is engineered to delete albumin-binding region. HRP has been covalently coupled to Protein G to produce the HRP-Protein G, which can be used in detection systems such as immunoblotting, ELISA, immunoperoxidase electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry.
1 mg, lyophilized with PBS, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.01% Thimerosal.
Reconstitute the lyophilized power with 1.0 ml of deionized water to a final HRP-Protein G concentration of 1 mg/ml.
HRP-Protein G should be stored lyophilized until use. It remains stable in lyophilized form for at least one year if stored at 2-8°C. The reconstituted product can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 2-8°C or for up to one year at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
