Neuromedin C is a bombesin-like peptide which causes potent stimulation of smooth muscle of rat uterus. Neuromedin C is a 10 amino acid peptide generated by enzymatic degradation of Gastrin Releasing Peptide (GRP). Neuromedin's structure is identical with the last 10 amino acids of GRP.
