Introduction
Overview The AmMag Quatro leverages magnetic bead technology, and alkaline lysis related reagents to automate maxi-scale plasmid purification in three easy steps.
Step 1. The plasmid purification process starts with the centrifuged bacterial pellet. Step 2. The automated steps consist of pellet resuspension, lysis, neutralization,pre-clarification, plasmid DNA binding, endotoxin removal, washes, and elution. Step 3. The optional manual centrifugation step of the purified plasmid DNA removes residual endotoxins, trace amounts of beads, and sterile filters the final purified plasmid DNA. The AmMag Quatro system consists of the purification module(s) and main controller. The main controller provides direct control over the operation of the purification modules. Up to 4 purification modules can be connected via a network cable, and controlled independently.
