The DDB1-DCAF12 complex is part of the CUL4-RBX1-DDB1-DCAF12 (CRL4DCAF12) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex of the DesCEND (destruction via C-end degrons) pathway. DCAF12 is the substrate recognition component of the complex, which recognizes a C-degron located at the extreme C terminus of target proteins, leading to their ubiquitination and degradation. |
