Webinars » Overcoming Timeline Challenges In Antibody Drug Discovery
Antibody drug discovery and development is a long and arduous journey. It starts with identifying new therapeutic antibodies to treat different diseases. The process of antibody drug discovery could be divided into five stages: target assessment & validation, screening preparation, hit generation & lead selection, lead optimization & characterization, and lastly, candidate selection before moving onto a clinical trial. The therapeutic antibody market is growing rapidly due to unmet needs for targeted therapy and the increasing awareness among the population on current therapeutic treatments. The availability of advanced techniques and platforms in the market speeds up the process of antibody drug discovery in order to meet the increasing demands.

Hui Foon Tan is a regional Product Manager who supports GenScript-APAC proteins and antibody production platform services. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University and continued to work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for another 2 years. She has 8 years of research experience in cell and molecular biology. Her previous research mainly focuses on understanding how a family of proteins, known as kindlins, regulates the stability of mitotic spindles assembly in addition to their primary role as an integrins regulator. Understanding the mechanisms behind its function in cancer, it helps to identify the molecular targets for therapeutic purposes.
