Green PCR Reagents
GenScript's advanced high-stability technology has led to the invention of the new generation of PCR reagents—Green PCR Reagents. The Green series of reagents, from the proprietary Taq, dNTP, to PCR mixtures, are stable for one month if stored at room temperature, or for over six months if stored at 4°C. The high-stability feature comes with increased half-life of active enzymes at high temperatures, which results in more amplification cycles and higher yield. With no freeze-thaw cycles, green PCR reagents provide you an instant access to high-throughput PCR automation. In addition, GenScript's Green PCR Reagents can help preserve energy associated with storage and shipping.
Key Features
- S table at room temperature
- Enhanced yields with longer enzyme half-life
- Stop refrigerating and save energy
Green Taq DNA Polymerase
Green Taq DNA Polymerase has terminal transferase activity that results in the addition of single nucleotide (adenosine) at 3'-end of the extension product. This enzyme also has a longer enzyme half-life and therefore increases the PCR yields when amplifying long DNA fragments.

High-Stability PCR Kit
GenScript's High-Stability PCR Kit contains Green Taq DNA Polymerase, 10X PCR buffer, and 10 mM dNTP, all specially formulated for higher stability using our proprietary technology. The stabilizers in the storage buffer also increase the stability of Taq DNA Polymerase at higher temperatures (72°C), increasing the PCR yield of long DNA amplification. This Kit makes the PCR step quick and easy by eliminating any need for thawing. This kit can be used in high-throughput assays in which all the PCR reagents need to be ready and stable for PCR at any time.

- The Green Taq DNA polymerase provides high PCR yield and specificity when amplifying long DNA fragments.
- The Green Taq DNA polymerase can be stored at 37°C for 14 days without activity loss.

Figure 1. An 8-kb fragment from λDNA was amplified by using both Taq DNA polymerase and Green Taq DNA polymerase. For long DNA fragment amplification, where longer elongation time is needed (In this case, the elongation time was eight minutes.), the Green Taq DNA polymerase has a longer half-life and therefore increases the PCR DNA yields significantly.
Figure 2. A 2-kb 23S rRNA fragment from from E. coli genomic DNA was amplified using Green Taq DNA polymerase stored at -20°C and 37°C, respectively.
